Responsibilities
- Report to the Operations Manager
- Manage all studio production operations and support associated departments to meet business and customer requirements.
- Supply regular updates to the Site Director.
- Play a key role with RCA and the development of SGS QA systems.
- Continuously improve operator efficiencies while achieving all key customer performance objectives.
- Control processes within the studio to optimise throughput and efficiency.
- Minimise resource wastage and strive to increase recycling and reduce the company carbon footprint.
- Ensure customer expectations for delivery are met on time and in full.
- Ensure production is carried out in accordance with appropriate documentation and procedures to obtain the required quality and performance.
- Check the maintenance of the department, premises and equipment.
- Ensure the appropriate validations are complete and up to date.
- Develop, motivate and manage production teams to maximise their performance potential and meet current and future business needs.
- Ensure that the initial and continuing training of the department personnel is carried out and adapted according to needs as defined in the training schedule.
- Conduct disciplinary investigations and hearings when required.
- Assign, monitor and approve overtime to meet workload demands while keeping within forecast hours and ensuring all production staff are working in accordance with Working Time Regulations 1998.
- Ensure company H&S procedures are understood, implemented and adhered to.
- Monitor timekeeping and attendance and address accordingly.
- Conduct job evaluations and identify any necessary recruitment requirements, coordinate and conduct interviews and report results.
- Liaise with production staff and CSR team on daily production issues.
- Proactively communicate business developments with the production staff without divulging confidential or sensitive business information.
- Work and communicate with the management team to promote a positive and proactive attitude towards continued improvement in all areas, demonstrating a united front.
