Subsequent to growing sales, they are looking to appoint a Senior Sales Account Manager / Sales Manager with Supervisory and External Sales experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to further their career within Flexible Packaging Sales – the appointment will not just be down to Product & Market knowledge but as importantly, a personable attitude and the ability to fit into a dynamic team.
The role will require someone with an open mind, flexible approach and professional attitude as its remit will include a variety of account management tasks, external sales activities and some travelling in the UK and overseas. This leading Packaging Management Company believes that packaging is one of the most important aspects of their Customer’s Brand and, without the strategic packaging management from design board to shop floor that their service offers, time and costs can quickly spiral out of control. It is important that we find someone whose passion for the industry aligns with theirs.
The main objectives of this role are to:
- Find new customers and develop own portfolio of business accounts
- Be responsible for managing existing and new customers
- Liaise with the admin and logistics teams to ensure deliveries of orders on time
Day to day responsibilities will include:
- Managing house and own customer accounts on a daily basis
- Liaising with customers (UK & Europe)
- Updating sales budgets per account and helping the sales team to meet the monthly target
- Prospecting new markets and following up sales enquiries
- Visiting customers
- Working closely with the sales admin team to follow up processes from order to delivery
- Pre-press / post-press artwork liaison
- Attending trade shows and travel to overseas as required
Fulfilling the above will require someone who can exhibit a highly organised individual with great attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and work both independently and within a team. It goes without saying that a sales management role needs someone with excellent communication skills and a keen interest in building business relationships.
