One of the most established printing companies in the South East is looking for a business development manager with a track record in the charity sector. The person we seek will have unrivalled experience in this industry, and an ability to understand what each client wants to achieve, suggesting effective ways of doing a job; striving to exceed expectations and take pride in the finished product delivered by the collective team.
Our client thinks a successful salesperson will show great empathy with each client, particularly due to the nature of this sector – a good listener who can understand the clients’ businesses, problems and goals, to sell them solutions, quick-wins and long-term strategies – overall developing new and existing business, maximise sales and client retention.
What will your new role involve?
- Pro‑active and regular client contact, with meetings to be undertaken via the phone, e‑mail, virtually, or face‑to‑face, as appropriate.
- Upselling and cross‑selling to new and existing clients by presenting new product lines and service revenue streams.
- Identifying opportunities for growth by preparing and conducting structured client business reviews.
- Developing new business opportunities in line with sales strategy.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects.
- Creating and delivering bespoke client and prospect presentations.
- Maintaining accurate records using CRM system.
- Attending trade exhibitions and conferences, if required.
- Collaborating with team members.
The client is open to someone from any specialism of print / packaging / paper, and even outside of these sectors too. The key is having contacts within the charity sector. If at least 70% of your current sales involvement is with charities, this would still be acceptable to apply.
