Our client creates and delivers innovative, sustainable packaging solutions, achieving this by having a fantastic team in place and through providing outstanding service and quality, driving innovation and best practice, deploying the latest technology and applying data intelligence. They are looking for a commercially aware Account Manager to join the team and ensure the efficient management of customers.
Within the role, you will work with customers from the FMCG, food, beer, spirits and general industrial sectors, on accounts ranging in size from a few thousand to a few million pounds in revenue a year, providing them with tailored packaging solutions in an evolving market place.
To succeed in the role, you will need to develop and grow relationships with a wide range of customers, which will include some well‑known, blue‑chip manufacturers and brands within the FMCG arena. You will need to be responsible for negotiation of price movement, be skilled at identifying, quantifying and proposing a plan to gain additional business from existing customers, all whilst driving a high profit margin and ROI.
Our client will always want you to operate in a professional manner, managing customer expectations, as appropriate, in line with our business priorities. You should be comfortable forecasting future customer requirements, able to manage the total cost of servicing each account, ensuring that all our customers’ SLAs are delivered.
What you need for this role:
- A proven track record of developing new and existing FMCG accounts, selling at a senior level in a B2B environment
- Commercially astute, consultative, proactive, self‑motivated, ambitious, entrepreneurial
- A strong influencer, relationship builder, collaborator and communicator

- A willingness to travel as that will be expected within the role
