Our client is looking for a hard working and ambitious production planner with experience in the print or promotional sector to join their growing team. You will be organised and knowledgeable, with an acute eye for detail and the ability to work well within a busy team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Receive customer orders from Account Managers and raise sales order forms
- Contact suppliers for costings on repeat customer orders to confirm accurate pricing
- Check artwork, have new artwork created and ensure changes are signed off by the client.
- Raise purchase orders to suppliers and send all necessary approved artwork to customers.
- Enter details of any order onto the new order smart sheet and production control smart sheet.
- Carry out production updates with suppliers to ensure production runs to agreed timescales.
- Give all necessary paperwork to the warehouse so the warehouse team know if they need to dispatch goods immediately or hold goods in stock
- Answer incoming calls and handle all necessary customer or supplier queries and hand calls to the relevant person in the business.
- Handle all online orders and call offs and process or place in the tray for dispatching.
- Check and file samples in the relevant customer file.
- Work closely with all other departments and the relevant supply chain to achieve agreed contractual due dates.
- Monitor all causes of late/excessive lead times and identify and implement corrective actions.
- Focus on process improvement with a view to minimising lead times.
- Communicate effectively with customers from receipt of order to delivery.
