The Role
A fantastic career opportunity for a High Calibre Production Manager to join a company during a time of exciting growth. The ideal candidate will have management experience in a high volume and short lead time production environment.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the production of all printed products
- Ensure all process supervisors are aware of performance requirements and are meeting their set KPIs
- Organise, control and monitor the flow of production and ensure quality is maintained
- Create and maintain capacity plans to ensure all staff and machines are running at maximum efficiency.
- Ensure departmental budgets are met.
- Oversee stock management and ordering
- Ensure all machines are maintained and all team members adhere to 5S principles
- Maintain strong communication between all team members and other departments and encourage team members to be open about ideas and suggestions for improvements.
- Embody the company’s 5 core values and ensure these are at the heart of everything you and your team do.
- Work with Growth Team on product development to ensure efficient production processes for all new product launches.
- Monitor all supervisor performances and work with them to monitor full teams’ performance, including regular one on ones.
- Run daily team meetings
- Create and maintain quality control procedures and ensure any order ideas are dealt with pro-actively and efficiently
Experience/Skills Required.
- Previous experience managing a production team (4 years preferred)
- Industry experience of print specifically screen printing (4 years preferred)
- Analytical approach to reviewing working practices, equipment etc.
- Strong leadership/people management skills
- Team building
- Strong knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
- Knowledge and experience working with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, 6 Sigma etc.
- Budgeting
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation (both verbally and written)
- Be able to be both proactive and able to react speedily when needed
- Perform well under pressure
- The ability to manage change
- Be able to work with teams/other departments
- Be innovative
- Have good judgement and decision making skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
