The Role
As a Print Estimator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the commercial success of projects from initial brief to final delivery. You’ll prepare accurate and competitive estimates, source the best suppliers, and work closely with the sales, production, and account management teams to deliver value-driven print solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for litho, digital, and direct mail print projects
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing for print and mailing services
- Manage print buying activity — ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery
- Support the sales team with quoting and tender submissions
- Maintain estimating software and pricing databases
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers and production scheduling
About You
You’re commercially minded and detail-oriented, with a solid understanding of print production processes and costs. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering accurate, timely quotes and finding the best possible solutions for clients.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Print Estimator
- Strong knowledge of litho, digital, and direct mail printing
- Confident in negotiating with suppliers and managing costs
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in using estimating systems and Excel (knowledge of [insert system, e.g. Tharstern, EFI Pace, or similar] advantageous)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
