We are looking for an enthusiastic proofing and pre-press operator to work in a fast-paced environment as part of the existing in-house pre-press/proofing team for one of the West Midlands top printers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Supplying proofs to customers for approval prior to production.
- Pre-pressing files for production.
- Setting jobs up for production in line with requirements listed on works orders.
- Pro-actively flagging and resolving issues with supplied files prior to them reaching production.
- Taking direction and feedback from senior team members.
- Assisting production requirements in line with the needs of the business.
What we need from you:
- Strong knowledge of Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
- A willingness to learn in the role and develop skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with tight deadlines.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time.
- Knowledge of wider Adobe creative suite would be an added bonus.
Required Experience:
- 2 years’ proofing/pre-press experience.
- Experience in print industry preferred.
- Knowledge of printing processes and base materials.
- Experience in preparing print/cut files essential.
