The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic proofing and pre-press operator to work in a fast-paced environment as part of the existing in-house pre-press/proofing team for one of the West Midlands top printers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Supplying proofs to customers for approval prior to production.
  • Pre-pressing files for production.
  • Setting jobs up for production in line with requirements listed on works orders.
  • Pro-actively flagging and resolving issues with supplied files prior to them reaching production.
  • Taking direction and feedback from senior team members.
  • Assisting production requirements in line with the needs of the business.

What we need from you:

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
  • A willingness to learn in the role and develop skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time.
  • Knowledge of wider Adobe creative suite would be an added bonus.

Required Experience:

  • 2 years’ proofing/pre-press experience.
  • Experience in print industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and base materials.
  • Experience in preparing print/cut files essential.
