Our client is uniquely positioned to support the development of its customers with innovative packaging solutions, offering a range of products including folding cartons, trays, cups, flexible materials and more. A highly skilled hands-on operations champion, the Operations Manager will focus on increasing customer satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower and materials. The role is responsible for planning, directing and managing daily operational activity to achieve operating goals and objectives consistent with company objectives. They take a conscious and structured approach to training and competence development, ensuring that professional as well as personal growth is always a priority.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct and manage daily operational activity.
- Evaluate current and proposed systems and procedures and recommend change when necessary.
- Assist in implementing new processes.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and professional development to achieve operational goals.
- Command respect from all divisions of the business.
- Support and motivate staff to achieve maximum output and profit.
- Manage disciplinary procedures, employee relations, absence policies, reduce lateness and incentivise staff where appropriate.
