Job Title: Packaging BuyerSalary: £35-40k basic + benefits.Location: Greater ManchesterReference: J79024Contact:Telephone: 0141 647 6688We are looking for a Buyer to take ownership of the effective development, cost effective sourcing and scheduling of packaging materials for the manufacturing requirements of our client.Annual spend will be approximately £1.5-2m on corrugated cartons, flexo printed film, CDU\’s / FSDU\’s, printed inserts, self-adhesive labels and shrink film.You will leverage your industry knowledge and networking skills to build supplier relationships & managing contracts with key suppliers to drive best possible results. We are looking for someone who stands out from the crowd in terms of their communication and interpersonal skills. Building sustainable relationships with suppliers will be key to not only making your mark in this role, but in the company as a whole.Candidates\’ negotiation skills must be second-to-none, as it will be the buyer\’s duty to ensure all materials are purchased at the most competitive price and delivery, and quality & service delivered by suppliers meet the required standards for all projects. You will also be an organized individual, responsible for end to end associated administration.
