One of Yorkshire’s leading SME printing companies is looking to appoint a new key member within their senior management team. Impending retirement of the owner has created the opportunity for a Managing Director to join this print pioneer with a reputation second to none.

The pivotal role of Managing Director will takeresponsibility for organisational performance; implementing company policy andmaking any changes to it in order to deliver operational excellence andcustomer satisfaction. Industry expertise and innovative solutions has maintainedour client’s position as market leaders. The objective of their new ManagingDirector will be to remain at the top of the game, ahead of all competition.

The company’s key decision maker requires aresults driven individual with a high level of commercial awareness. Candidatesmust have great experience in a man-management role within the printingindustry, and an inside-out knowledge of all market trends.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Ensure recruitment and retentionof personnel; motivating, training and developing staff to ensure our clientachieves its objectives
  • Establish and maintain fruitfulrelationships with major clients and stakeholders
  • Take ownership and responsibilityfor the efficient and effective running of each function within the organisation
  • Ensure budget targets are met, revenueflows are maximised and fixed costs are minimised
  • Develop and maintain an effectivemarketing strategy to promote company products, services and images
  • Represent the company in criticalnegotiations to secure the most effective contract terms
  • Develop and direct theimplementation of policies and procedures to ensure all health and safety andother statutory regulations are adhered to
