The predicted salary is between 24000 - 26000 £ per year.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced corrugated structural designer who would like to get more involved in the commercial side of the business whilst maintaining their involvement in the more creative side of the business.

The successful candidate will be part of the commercial team and the main focus is the design of corrugated packaging with subsequent estimating leading to setting of selling prices.

  • Using AG CAD and Artois CAD software design corrugated packaging for customers supplying the industrial and consumer markets and, where appropriate, liaise with manufacturing to ensure that all designs can be produced economically.
  • Acquire an understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in the production of corrugated packaging at all sites.
  • Utilise Packaging 3000 software to generate estimates for clients.
  • Create simple print diagrams in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Develop and then utilise commercial knowledge and judgement to final price estimates.
  • Analyse customer tenders using Excel and recommend to senior managers pricing levels.
