A vibrant specialist printing company is seeking a Book Bindery Operator to join their team of highly skilled individuals within their award-winning in-house finishing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that boasts extremely efficient workflow and continuously invests in the best and latest finishing technology to cater to clients’ specific needs.

The book bindery operator will be responsible for achieving safe, effective and efficient operation of bindery equipment. Your role will be to ensure printed products are bound to customer quality and time specifications, as well as company profitability guidelines. We are looking for someone who has strong organisational skills, and who will pre-plan for upcoming jobs before the existing project finishes. You will also be expected to carry out and record regular maintenance and troubleshoot problems; report any further problems to site engineers; and follow Company Health & Safety procedures and Environmental Policy.

Hardback book bindery experience is essential for this role. Additional finishing experience would make you stand out from the crowd as our client is looking for someone with a flexible approach to working in other areas of the support structure as and when required.

The successful candidate will work a shifts system and periodically, when the need arises, work late and occasionally at weekends.
