We have an opportunity for a Bid Manager to join a leading organisation that takes great pride in providing clients with a variety of tailored solutions and cost-effective services that are proven to improve the quality of their customer communications.
The Bid Manager will be responsible for assembling and managing all stages in the bid lifecycle and has the skills to prepare and submit a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. The role requires the management of an opportunity from initial identification of a customer requirement through to bid and pursuit phase. After bid submission, the Bid Manager remains involved through the presentation and negotiation stages, ensuring all lessons learned are fed back and implemented.
Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong people management and commercial skills. You will be joining at a critical time when you have the opportunity to play a role in shaping the sales and marketing process, as well as develop your skills and experience as part of a growing business.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven ability in delivering winning, high value product or services opportunities. The candidate will ideally have a background in solution selling and experience of bid management from opportunity identification through to project delivery. The role requires valuable input into value proposition development, opportunity qualification, win strategy, commercial discussions, and solution delivery.
As an excellent communicator and comfortable working at Director Level (internal and external customer), the successful applicant will hold strong team leadership skills in both office-based and virtual work environments. Has the ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities and a solid understanding and management of internal governance procedures. The applicant will be able to immerse themselves in our industry and those of our customers positioning them to be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace. Excellent planning, high attention to detail, copywriting and design competence with a focus on high standards of on-brand delivery are all essential to the role.
