Our Client is a well-established and profitable Manufacturer of Products related to the Print & Packaging Industries. They offer a comprehensive range of high-quality products and have been trading in printing inks and machines for the fabric and general label industry for well over 40 years.
Quick role summary – Keep the IT equipment and services operational. If they break, fix them. Help support all IT-related aspects of the business. This is a new role for our Client as they continue to grow. They have approximately 50 employees and have around 25 PCs, 15 Printers and Scanners, and a high-end IT setup. You will assist management with day-to-day IT tasks, and in doing so, the Company will help further develop the skills and experience of the successful Candidate.
Job Specification- Support Operations Director and existing IT supplier in maintaining the smooth running of the existing IT systems.
- Assist in keeping desktops and laptops operating systems up to date.
- Help fault find and fix problems with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, projectors, headsets, etc.
- Support the relocation or replacement of IT equipment.
- Support the setting up of new users, email, Skype names, etc.
- Maintain and test the backup system.
- Able to set up, install and sort out other IT-related equipment such as telephones, mobile phones, temperature loggers, etc.
- Interested in computers, software, IT, the internet and looking for a hands-on role in IT.
- Someone willing to take on responsibility for IT-related items as well as general electrical jobs.
- Able to take a considered approach to resolving issues as opposed to fire-fighting.
- Careful, methodical and attentive to detail.
