We seek a HR Director who will sit on the main Board of one of our longest standing clients, and report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Implement HR strategy to support the aggressive growth plans of the business.
- Work with the management team to ensure a culture of putting people first, including evaluating and working towards gaining the Investors in People accreditation.
- Review and revise the pay and bonus structure within the business to properly incentivise staff in line with business objectives.
- Be responsible for the staff retention strategy and implement a succession planning policy.
- Develop the recruitment and onboarding process to increase the effectiveness of the talent acquisition.
- Provide advice and guidance for senior management on all HR matters including change management, training, mentoring and disciplinary.
- Manage the HR department ensuring best practice policies and guidelines are in place and maintained.
- Assist with the acquisitions of new businesses.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a senior HR role.
- Qualified CIPD member.
- Ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong track‑record in HR generalist and change management roles.
- Commercial acumen and credibility.
- Extensive experience of managing a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Currently working for a manufacturer and having done so for the last five years.
