Purpose of the Job:
To lead a small team in the development of new products, product enhancement and provide innovative solutions, from initial conception to final production, to ensure that Products remain at the forefront of the Ink industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To undertake research in the relevant discipline area (UV flexo/screen and inkjet ink) using appropriate methods and/or techniques.
- To take responsibility for developing research methods and techniques within the framework of the project programme.
- Management and support of laboratory staff assisting with Research.
- Budget Management.
- Compilation of progress reports, research reports and/or publications.
- Ensure all agreed Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Environment standards are met.
- To liaise with research colleagues and support staff both internally and externally as appropriate to the research and to develop appropriate external contacts and networks relevant to the project and to future funding opportunities.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Project Management – Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading research projects.
- Scientific Background – Qualification(s) in a science discipline, preferably chemistry, with extensive knowledge of UV and water-based ink chemistry.
