The individual we seek will be at the top of their sales game and will be capable of managing a wide range of accounts. Although this role encompasses the management of significant accounts, we do need someone who excels in finding additional business, as our client is aware that many of these accounts have great potential to be expanded on.
You must know the industry inside out and be capable of expanding these existing relationships by identifying customer needs and requirements and propose solutions that meet these objectives. There is also additional business that they would like to target therefore it is someone who also has ‘hunting’ skills we are looking for.
Developing sound relationships with this portfolio of major accounts to ensure they do not turn to competition in today’s market requires someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills and with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels. As the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions, you must have an outgoing personality with a professional mannerism.
