Our prestigious Client has openings throughout the UK for experienced Field Service Professionals who have the ability to work on their own when fault finding at Customer Premises or within a Team when involved in equipment installations.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised qualifications in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
- Heavy engineering background ideally within Print or Packaging
- Full driving license
Overall Job Purpose
To deliver a first class level of service and support to customers ensuring excellent communication.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide service, repairs, installations and maintenance on equipment to Customers within the SLA agreements and as directed by the Line Manager.
- Carry out service calls promptly and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Follow up and resolve technical and parts issues to completion.
- Keep customer and Line Manager updated and informed.
- Attend all training courses and service meetings as requested.
- Provide customer telephone engineering support.
- Proficient use of software that impacts on a service Engineer’s responsibilities.
- Complete all relevant documentation and paperwork ensuring it is received by the appropriate administrator on time.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of Equipment supplied by Company.
- Provide demonstrations on equipment as and when required.
- Maintain spare parts car stock, cost awareness and process warranty claims.
- Ensure service and maintenance calls are carried out and records retained.
- Work under own guidance when attending to on-site fault finding as well as being part of a team with installations.
- Maintain company property i.e. vehicle, tools, laptop, phone etc.
- Observe Health & Safety policies & procedures.
- Promote company products and feedback any relevant information back to the service and sales departments.
- Promote Company in a positive manner and demonstrate a polite and respectful attitude to customers and fellow colleagues.
