Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Global Production & Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of luxury packaging, gifting, and merchandise projects for leading clients across the sports and entertainment sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between the company’s global sales and creative teams and international manufacturing partners, primarily based overseas. The successful candidate will manage workflows from initial brief through studio development, production, and global distribution, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and delivery standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Workflow Management
    • Manage the full production lifecycle from client brief through to final delivery
    • Coordinate closely with the global sales and studio teams to translate concepts into production-ready specifications
    • Oversee project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met across design, sampling, production, and logistics
    • Implement and maintain efficient workflow processes across multiple concurrent projects
  • Supplier & Factory Management (Global)
    • Work with team in China to manage projects via approved far-east supply chain
    • Source, onboard, and manage suppliers specialising in luxury packaging, gifting, and premium merchandise if required
    • Negotiate pricing, timelines, and production capabilities to meet commercial and quality requirements
  • Quality Control & Product Development
    • Oversee sampling, prototyping, and product development to ensure premium quality standards
    • Approve pre-production samples and ensure consistency with client expectations and brand guidelines
    • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions where required
  • Logistics & Global Distribution
    • Coordinate international shipping and logistics, ensuring on-time delivery across global markets
    • Manage freight partners, shipping documentation, duties, and compliance requirements
    • Optimise shipping methods balancing cost efficiency and delivery timelines
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Sales teams to align on client needs and expectations
    • Creative/studio teams to ensure design feasibility & execution
    • Operations/logistics teams for seamless fulfilment
    • Provide regular updates and reporting on project status, risks, and timelines
  • Budget & Cost Management
    • Develop and manage project budgets to optimise profitability
    • Monitor production costs and margins, identifying opportunities for efficiency
    • Ensure all projects are delivered within agreed financial parameters

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in production or project management within:
    • Luxury packaging
    • Promotional merchandise
    • Gifting or retail product manufacturing
  • Strong experience working with overseas factories and international suppliers
  • Excellent understanding of end-to-end production processes
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills
  • Experience managing global logistics and shipping
  • Experience within the sports and/or entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of sustainable packaging and materials
  • Familiarity with premium/luxury brand standards
  • Experience working with licensed or branded merchandise
