This long established private independent Carton manufacturer seeks an experienced man manager with a technical / practical background in the operation Finishing equipment (Eg. Signature, Vega or Bobst). Your role will be to challenge production targets and train some of the less experienced operators in what is a very happy, low staff turnover, friendly company.
Responsibilities
- Supervising the gluing production areas, ensuring that all staff achieve specified and required quality standards of product, service, performance and discipline at all times
- Maintaining required levels of capable staff within production to meet delivery and performance targets in a cost-effective manner
- Ensuring that all staff are fully briefed to required and specified quality standards
- Identifying training needs of all production staff, assists in compiling training plans and delivers and records effective service related training
- Agreeing daily production targets
Qualifications / Experience
- All round operational knowledge of gluing production environment
- Supervisory experience either in an official or unofficial capacity
- Process driven and quality-focused
Conditions
- Competitive Salary based on experience
- Working Hours : 36 Hours
- 26 Days Annual Holidays Plus 8 Bank Holidays per annum
- Shift Pattern – Days : 07:00 to 15:15 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 to 12:00 Friday.
The successful person will need to have a pro-active, organised approach to work with the ability to multi-task without compromising attention to detail and remain calm under pressure.
