A well-renowned organization that offers high-quality print and packaging solutions is looking for a dedicated individual to manage the operation of machines in the Finishing & Packaging departments, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct job is set on the machine – code, version, etc.
  • Conduct comprehensive shift changeovers when required.
  • Obtain an “OK to Proceed” from the Team Leader or Finishing Manager after make-ready is completed.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of work produced.
  • Make adjustments to maintain quality and output.
  • Keep the machine area clean and in good order.
  • Utilize machine staff efficiently.
  • Complete all documentation as required by ISO 9001.
  • Pass on relevant information to subsequent shifts.
  • Report breakdowns or abnormalities immediately.
  • Be fully familiar with all applicable Health & Safety procedures.
  • Leave the machine in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Provide coaching and guidance where needed.
  • Support and assist with other machines when required.
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover across other machines as needed.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out and relevant forms are completed.
  • Carry out stock checks on machine parts and re-order as necessary.
  • Comply with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and related policies.
  • Maintain Lean Manufacturing standards.
  • Report when targets are not met or are unachievable.
  • Attend and comply with all training requirements.
  • Comply with BRC rules and regulations in the Packaging department.
