A new and exciting position has become available at one of the UK’s fastest growing online print organisations. Our client is a rapidly growing printer business which really adds value and makes a big impact in their fast-paced working environment.
Whether their customers are in need of uniquely designed business cards or eye-catching flyers, they offer a vast range of high-quality products at market-leading prices. They are experts at what they do and they are looking for talented individuals who know their stuff too.
A contract opportunity has become available for a Lithographic Pre Press Operator/Mac Operator to join their current friendly, dynamic and hard-working team. This position will enable the right individual to gain experience within one of the UK’s leading Print organisations. They have a 3 month contract and a 1 month contract available to cover their busy period in September (possible extension through to November).
Hours: 11am – 7pm AND 12pm – 8pm.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-flight checking using ‘Pitstop’
- Resizing files
- Checking artwork
- Adding ‘bleed’ work being produced
- Updating the in-house database system
- Ensuring that work is completed, meeting scheduled deadlines
- Any other duties deemed within your capabilities/skill set
Experience/Skills required:
- Experience as a Pre-press Operator is desired
- Knowledge of Kodak Prinergy be beneficial (willingness to learn)
- 1 years’ experience using Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
- Proficient in Impositions beneficial (planning of booklets and brochures)
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good communication skills
