We have a rare opportunity to join an award winning state of the art labels company, offering a wide range of innovative solutions to large retail and blue chip companies. Our client is looking for a Sales Director to work within the existing sales team and support aggressive growth plans. The chosen candidate will have the ability to influence the future of the business by winning new business in strategic high profile FMCG Brand accounts.
The Role
This role would be suited to a highly motivated individual who is confident in both sales and managing a sales team. The successful candidate needs to be dynamic and ambitious, with a background in either working with or for large FMCG Brands and is familiar with printed packaging. Reporting to the Managing Director and being a board member, you will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement the sales strategy
- As a minimum, achieve the sales budget
- Present monthly performance of the sales team in the board meeting
- Support the sales team where applicable
- Work closely with the business to meet company objectives
- Travel to meet customers (including European travel)
- Be an enthusiastic and driven individual with a willingness to lead from the front
- Be a team player who is positive, friendly, approachable, flexible and hard working
- Show qualities of being proactive, entrepreneurial and innovative
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Adept at building strong, long-term relationships
- Have strong organisational and project management skills
- Prefer previous experience in print packaging
- Possess some knowledge of FMCG and Brands and our client’s product portfolio (ideally)
- Be PC literate – Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Hold a full driving licence
