Our client is a family‑owned business operating at the forefront of marketing communications & providing pre‑media creative print & installation services. It delivers innovative visual communications for the UK’s leading retailers & corporations from banners, tension‑fabric light boxes to presentation brochure packs & office stationery.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out prospecting activity to identify, develop and build relationships with new clients
- Identifying key decision makers within prospect accounts
- Following up on allocated business leads to identify new business opportunities
- Contacting and meeting with potential clients – growing, maintaining and leveraging networks
- Creating persuasive presentations, taking into account the client’s needs and objectives with the aim of converting prospects to customers
- Carrying out negotiations and handle objections by working through issues and concerns to achieve positive outcomes
- Building business with existing clients by presenting new product and service ideas to them
- Looking to develop new solutions to meet existing customer needs
- Attending industry events and conferences and providing feedback on trends and future developments
- Researching organisations and individuals (using social media) to identify new leads and new markets
- Submitting new business progress reports on a fortnightly basis to senior managers
- Using internal computer systems, including Optimus
- Authorising all quotations prior to submission to customer
- Obtaining credit checks from finance
Qualifications
- Experience of working in a sales role within the printing industry
- Proven track record of identifying, developing and securing B2B sales opportunities
- Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- High degree of professionalism and attention to detail
- Ambitious, persistent and self‑motivated
- Excellent numerical skills
- Good knowledge of print market and competitors, the solutions and services our client provides to customers in all sectors
- Sound working knowledge of computing systems especially major Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience in using Management Information Systems
