Our client is a family-owned business operating at the forefront of marketing communications & providing pre-media creative print & installation services. It delivers innovative visual communications for the UK’s leading retailers & corporations from banners, tension-fabric light boxes to presentation brochure packs & office stationery.
As Business Development Manager, you will develop profitable sales by acquiring new client accounts through networking, following up on sales leads and cold calling. You will retain and grow existing accounts by offering new products and services to meet their needs.
Responsibilities as Business Development Manager will include:
- Carrying out prospecting activity to identify, develop and build relationships with new clients
- Identifying key decision makers within prospect accounts
- Following up on allocated business leads to identify new business opportunities
- Contacting and meeting with potential clients – growing, maintaining and leveraging networks
- Creating persuasive presentations, taking into account the client’s needs and objectives with the aim of converting prospects to customers
- Carrying out negotiations and handle objections by working through issues and concerns to achieve positive outcomes
- Building business with existing clients by presenting new product and service ideas to them
- Looking to develop new solutions to meet existing customer needs
- Attending industry events and conferences and provide feedback on trends and future developments
- Researching organisations and individuals (using social media) to identify new leads and new markets
- Submitting new business progress report on a fortnightly basis to senior managers
- Using internal computer systems, including Optimus
- Authorising all quotations prior to submission to customer
- Obtaining credit checks from finance
