We are searching for a natural leader to manage a significant corrugated packaging operation in the South East. Our client is a customised packaging solutions provider looking for an Operations Manager to be responsible for enhancing, controlling, and executing production processes to ensure the smooth, efficient, informed, and compliant operational functioning.
As a key part of the senior management team, you will lead production teams in achieving goals and productivity, safety, quality, service and financial objectives. You will communicate these goals and objectives, providing clear direction to supervisors, team leaders and operatives, and make important decisions in high-pressure situations.
The key objective of the Operations Manager is to balance the meeting of customer needs while optimising operational effectiveness. The role will hold responsibility for the site operations, driving process improvement initiatives and acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day issues. Lean manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage.
The Operations Manager will focus on optimising output for production through effective organisation, strong leadership, co-ordination and resource management. Striving for continual improvements in machine productivity and efficiency, you will reduce waste, ensure product quality and exceed customer service levels.
