Our client is a leader in sustainable, home‑compostable packaging solutions. This board member role will own, implement, review and continually improve the company’s health and safety plan, ensuring a safe working environment for all colleagues, contractors and visitors.
Objectives and Accountabilities
- Lead automation and efficiency improvements for all operational plants within the allocated budget, driving significant productivity gains and reducing direct labour costs.
- Maintain and optimise all manufacturing assets and associated SLAs, recording mitigation, mapping and ownership on the company risk register log.
- Write and refine processes and systems required to manufacture materials in accordance with license requirements, conducting systematic reviews.
- Select and own an integrated suite of management information systems, including operations, production yield, IT, Web, CRM and HR functions, and establish a structured, data‑driven improvement framework.
- Implement and review standard operational procedures, mapping associated risks and mitigation strategies on the company risk log.
- Produce CAD designs accurately and timely to meet compression and aesthetic client requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- Engineering BSc (2.1 or above) or MSc with at least 5 years’ experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, communication, organisational, and written & oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented problem solver with leadership, critical thinking and time‑management abilities, capable of working independently and in teams.
- Experience across all phases of project management, working with diverse stakeholders, understanding quality control.
