A leading print and packaging group is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to provide functional oversight and implementation of the company’s operating system and CI programme. This key role will visit their production facilities across the country, working closely with site management teams to develop strategies and initiatives related to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, in order to improve the organisation’s efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversight and development of sites’ CI programme – ensuring consistency in CI approach and the capture and sharing of best practice.
  2. Development of strategies and initiatives related to CI and Lean Manufacturing to drive improved operational performance.
  3. Functional leadership of CI activity and resources on site basis, working with the Operations Team to ensure consistent roll out of CI activity.

Key Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  1. Substantial experience of continuous improvement approaches (e.g. six sigma, lean six sigma, lean manufacturing).
  2. Demonstrable track record of leading successful delivery of specific continuous improvement projects.
  3. Demonstrable track record of leading large-scale CI programmes, including influencing organisations.
  4. Computer literacy, Excel, Word and PowerPoint to at least intermediate level.

Desirable:

  1. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  2. Evidence of ability to deliver successful & impactful training.
