This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of end‑to‑end supply chain planning and customer service activities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, products, and information from suppliers through to customers. The successful candidate will lead planning and customer service functions, balancing demand, production, inventory, and service requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. This is primarily an office‑based position with occasional customer visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manufacturing and supply plans to ensure product availability while optimising inventory levels and cost.
- Lead demand planning and forecasting activities in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage the customer order process, ensuring efficient order fulfilment and excellent customer communication.
- Monitor and improve customer service performance, including OTIF delivery and lead‑time management.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP / IBP) processes to align demand, supply, and financial objectives.
- Manage inventory policies, safety stock levels, and stock‑turn performance.
- Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to address capacity constraints and supply challenges.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation and business continuity plans.
- Drive operational improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Produce performance reports, KPIs, and scenario analyses for senior management.
- Lead, coach, and develop planning and customer service teams.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a customer‑focused culture throughout the business.
- Support the onboarding of new customers and products into the operation.
- Manage internal supply chain flows and cross‑site coordination activities.
- Provide hands‑on support to planning and customer service teams when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment, coupled with proven leadership experience and a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 5+ years' experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, operations, or a related field.
- Experience leading or owning planning processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent customer service focus and stakeholder management capability.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience interacting directly with customers.
- Hands‑on approach with the willingness to support operational activities when required.
- Advanced numerical and analytical skills, including strong Excel capability.
- High energy, proactive attitude, and strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to quickly understand technical products and manufacturing processes.
