Our client is a long-established and highly respected printing company based in the North West of England. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability and long-standing client relationships, the business is now seeking to appoint a Sales Director to play a key role in shaping the next phase of its growth. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who understands the print sector and is passionate about building strong client relationships while developing high‑performing teams.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the business while continuing to drive revenue growth. The role will involve managing and developing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the existing sales team to maximise their performance. The business currently has three experienced sales professionals, each generating strong results. They manage their own estimating and account management responsibilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to review this structure and help shape the future of the sales function – for example, by introducing account management support to allow the sales team to focus more heavily on new business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall commercial and growth strategy of the business
- Lead, support and develop the existing sales team to maximise performance
- Manage and grow key accounts while identifying opportunities for new business
- Strengthen the company’s position within its core markets
- Review and refine the sales structure to improve efficiency and scalability
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional roles or processes that support business growth
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure excellent delivery and customer satisfaction

- Experience managing or mentoring sales teams
