Are you a reliable, hands-on team player with experience in print or production finishing? We’re looking for a Finishing Operative to join our client’s busy production department at a well-established organisation working with major UK clients. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in a fast-moving environment where quality, accuracy and teamwork really matter.
About the Role
As a Finishing Operative, you will work as part of a skilled production team to ensure all jobs are completed on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating a range of finishing equipment (e.g. guillotines, folders, stitchers, binding equipment, enclosing/mailing machines, or similar)
- Inspecting work for quality and consistency
- Following job specifications, production plans, and safety procedures
- Completing basic machine adjustments, setups and routine maintenance
- Accurately recording job information and maintaining production workflow
- Supporting the wider team with general production duties when required
Full training will be provided on specific equipment as needed.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in print finishing, direct mail finishing, packaging finishing or a similar production role (preferred but not essential)
- Comfortable working with machinery and production tools
- Quality-focused with high attention to detail
- Able to work well as part of a team and meet deadlines
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
- Flexible and willing to learn new equipment or processes
