To personally own the development of bid library and keep up to date with the latest responses to enable efficient bid response creation. To support the collation of responses to all stages of the bid process from pre‐qualification through to tender, presentation and negotiation. To support sales team bid activity through effective project management and administration support. To ensure all bid activity is accurately reflected on Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Bid Production: responsible for the pre‐production of all bid documentation.
  • Responsible for tracking and monitoring assigned bid activities.
  • Responsible for collation and formatting bid documents and version control.
  • Management and tracking of clarifications.
  • Compliance with governance process – Black Hat approvals, etc.
  • Maintain all documentation for audit and quality purposes.
  • Undertake any reasonable duty to assist the Sales team.
  • Support sales team to coordinate the sales process through prospect development/tender receipt, proposal, presentation and closing negotiations.
  • Ensure company Black Hat process is accurately adhered to for all proposals.
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales Director and sales team to construct winning bids which meet the needs of the client.
  • Produce reports as required.
  • Ensure the Sales Force database is up to date at all times of bid activity.
  • Actively promote your own development to ensure ongoing sales success.
  • Maintain and develop good employee relations.
  • Attend all relevant training as nominated by your line manager.

Person Specification

  • Proven Bid Management experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience creating successful, well‐written bid responses.
  • Experience of engagement at all levels to ensure successful outputs as part of a bid programme.
  • Relevant experience in sales and bid management.
  • Understanding of the tendering process.
  • Flexibility in terms of approach to achieving required outcomes and starting new projects and bid assignments.
  • Ability to challenge others to keep a bid on course.
  • Ensuring the articulation of bid strategy into the bid.
  • Effective management of bid governance.
  • Review and assurance of the written submission.
  • Overview of the Financial and Commercial aspects of the bid.
  • Previous Bid Management experience.
  • Experience of management of complex bid programmes.
  • Experience of project management.
