We are looking to appoint a high calibre Bid Manager to one of the UK’s leading marketing services companies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the tender response function from qualification through to pitching stage.
  • Bid writing and managing company bid teams to gather responses.
  • Continuously appraise the content of the bid library to keep material current, compelling, and catalogued.
  • Report on bid activity levels and results for Sales & Marketing and Connect RTM internal meetings.
  • Maintain membership of tender subscription services.
  • Keep up-to-date with public sector procurement legislation and advise the business as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of company proposition and services, along with market and competitor developments.
  • Assist in pitches with both material, and where appropriate be on the presentation team.

Skills Required

  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Analytical with ability to shape a solution to meet client dilemmas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain good relationships across the Group and with prospective clients.
  • Very proficient in MS Office, especially Word; InDesign skills desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage bids simultaneously to deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to workload to manage peaks and troughs in the bid pipeline and provide ad-hoc support in other areas as required.
  • Good understanding of company proposition and competitor awareness to develop winning solutions.
