My client, a global insurance broker, are seeking an experienced Aviation Wordings Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating aviation insurance policy wordings aligned with market standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review bespoke and standard aviation insurance wordings including hull, liability, war, products liability, general aviation, airline, and aerospace risks.
  • Ensure wording accuracy and clarity.
  • Interpret and adapt market standard clauses.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current aviation wordings, clauses, endorsements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on technical policy wording issues.
  • Support placement of risks by producing clear and precise wordings to accompany MRC slips.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal wordings databases and wording templates.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes impacting aviation insurance policies and ensure documentation remains compliant.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in aviation insurance with a strong focus on policy wordings.
  • Attention to detail with strong legal and technical drafting skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's market practices, MRC, and regulatory frameworks (FCA, Lloyd's, etc.).
