Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, organised, and technically knowledgeable Underwriting Services Technician to support underwriters and operations across multiple classes of business. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate capture and processing of policy data, managing premium transactions, and helping to ensure compliance with Lloyd\âs and regulatory requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in insurance operations and premium accounting, looking to develop further within a supportive and high-performing Lloyd\âs environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process and maintain underwriting data across internal systems and Lloyd\âs platforms (e.g., DDM, Atlas, Crystal).
Ensure premium bordereaux and policy documentation are submitted and reconciled in line with Lloyd\âs requirements.
Perform premium accounting functions, including data validation, reconciliation of payments, and liaising with brokers and finance teams.
Support underwriters with the end-toâend processing of risks, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
Produce management information and assist in the preparation of underwriting reports.
Maintain clear, auditable records for compliance, internal controls, and Lloyd\âs reviews.
Work closely with underwriting, claims, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless operations.
Key Requirements
Prior experience in an underwriting support, operations, or technician role within the Lloyd\âs or London Market.
Good understanding of technical insurance processes and terminology.
Solid working knowledge of premium accounting and related reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with Lloyd\âs systems (DDM, Atlas, Crystal) is highly desirable.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data and reporting tools.
Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, canâdo attitude.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines in a fastâpaced environment.
