Underwriting Assistant - Marine Hull
We’re working with a leading specialty insurer looking to hire an Underwriting Assistant to join its Marine team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career within marine insurance, supporting underwriters with the day-to-day administration and processing of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Marine Underwriting team.
- Assist with the processing of new business, renewals and policy amendments.
- Maintain accurate underwriting records and update internal systems.
- Liaise with brokers and internal teams to support the smooth handling of business.
- Ensure documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For
- Ideally, around one year of experience in an insurance-related role, or a familiarity with underwriting and insurance processes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- An interest in developing a career within marine insurance.
