Liability UnderwriterAre you looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking and growing MGA? My client is seeking a proactive and experienced Liability Underwriter to join their team.Location: London or WithamSalary: Circa £50,000Hybrid: YesAbout the Role:You'll be responsible for underwriting new business, renewals, and MTAs across a portfolio of Employers', Public, and Products Liability SME risks. The role is focused on delivering a consistently high standard of service to broker partners while maintaining technical quality.Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite and quote Employers', Public, and Products Liability SME risks- Manage new business, renewals, and MTAs in line with underwriting authority- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing brokers- Negotiate pricing and terms in a competitive and professional manner- Work closely with brokers to develop business and support cross-selling opportunitiesWhat We're Looking For:- Experience in commercial/SME insurance underwriting- Proven ability to underwrite Liability risks up to £10m Limit of Indemnity- Experience with Excess of Loss and CAR is advantageous- Property underwriting experience is a plus- Exposure to premiums up to £25,000- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance practices- Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWhat You'll Gain:- A flexible hybrid working environment (home and office-based)- A collaborative and supportive team culture- The opportunity to have autonomy and clear progression in your roleIf you're ready to bring your underwriting experience to a role where you can make a real impact, I'd love to hear from you.??
