Our client, a growing Lloyd's broker, is looking for a Senior Marine Claims Broker/Technician. The role involves handling a varied portfolio of Marine claims, including Marine Cargo, Hull & Machinery, Specie, Aviation, Crew PI and P&I business. This is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, manage and coordinate a complex portfolio of Marine claims, including Hull & Machinery, Builders Risk, Cargo, Specie, Aviation, Crew PA and P&I.
- Upload and manage ECF entries and other non‑bureau related tasks.
- Monitor claim progress from notification to resolution, ensuring all parties meet contractual, regulatory and service‑level requirements and comply with Lloyd's minimum standards.
- Act as claims advocate for clients, negotiating with insurers, TPAs, adjusters and legal representatives to secure favourable, timely outcomes.
- Maintain up‑to‑date claims records and data accuracy across internal systems.
- Participate in client reviews, renewal preparation and underwriter and broker meetings.
- Receive new claim notifications and assess coverage against policy terms and conditions.
- Negotiate claim settlements within delegated authority limits and appoint experts where necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous Marine claims handling experience.
- Good knowledge of ECF (advantageous).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Adaptability to a hybrid working environment.
