Our client, a well-established and highly regarded insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Senior Cargo Insurance Broker with a proven production track record and strong global client and/or broker relationships. This is a senior, revenue-generating role suited to an individual with an existing book of business and the ability to grow it across multiple international territories.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business and drive sustained revenue growth within the global cargo insurance market
- Manage, develop, and expand an established portfolio of cargo insurance clients
- Leverage strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and international brokers to place complex cargo risks
- Demonstrate consistent historical production across multiple territories (worldwide)
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts
- Negotiate terms and conditions with insurers to deliver optimal outcomes for clients
- Stay abreast of market trends, capacity changes, and emerging cargo risks
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support servicing, claims, and placement strategies
- Represent the brokerage at industry events and within the global marine insurance market
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Significant experience as a Cargo Broker within a brokerage environment
- Proven and verifiable production history, with demonstrated revenue generation over multiple years
- Established global client and/or broker relationships across key cargo markets
- Experience placing cargo risks across multiple international territories
- Strong technical knowledge of cargo insurance products, wordings, and market dynamics
- Commercially minded with a strong entrepreneurial approach to business development
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills
