Job Description
A global Reinsurance business is seeking a qualified accountant to join its FP&A and Regulatory Reporting team in London.This Senior Accountant role focuses primarily on regulatory reporting for European entities within the group. This role has responsibility for supporting financial accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting within regulatory reporting. You will also be required to engage in the company's Financial Planning and Analysis activities, understand the financial performance of regional entities and provide insight to stakeholders.
You will have close interaction across multiple areas of the business and work with the wider Global Finance Team to add value across relevant teams.The regulatory reporting work will focus on the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting, both for internal and external purposes following required GAAP and regulatory standards. Specific focus on regulatory submissions including Lloyd's UK GAAP and Solvency UK submissions, US Situs, TRIA, NAIC, CBI QRTs and annual statutory financial statements.The FP&A work will focus on analysis of local results for management and board reporting, the annual budgeting process at a regional level, project work as assigned and providing general support to the Finance Department and other teams as needed.Applicants must be qualified accountants with experience gained within the (re)insurance industry, including experience with regulatory reporting, have strong knowledge of US/UK GAAP, and working knowledge of general ledger systems and policy administration/accounting systems.
