My client, a well-regarded Lloyd’s broker, is looking to appoint a Technician to join their London office. This position would suit someone with prior insurance market experience who is keen to further develop their technical expertise within a specialist marine cargo environment. You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team, with a focus on technical processing and documentation rather than production.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day processing support to brokers and senior technicians.

  • Prepare, review, and issue documentation including slips, endorsements, and evidence of cover.

  • Process premium and claims transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to London Market standards.

  • Assist with IMR uploads, LPANs, and other key technical processes.

  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure documentation and payment workflows run smoothly and efficiently.

  • What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience within the insurance market (broker, carrier, or coverholder).

  • Exposure to London Market processes and systems, including IMR and LPANs.

  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • A proactive team player with a flexible and positive approach.

  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in a technical/processing role within the London Market, ideally with exposure to marine cargo business.
