A City based insurance company has a new opportunity for a Marine Claims Adjuster. Responsibilities will include handling Hull & Machinery and Offshore Energy claims in a lead and follow capacity from first notification to completion, ensuring reserves are established in an accurate and timely manner in line with agreed claims authorities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To handle claims, ensuring reserves are established in the company Hull claims management system in an accurate and timely manner, in line with agreed claims authorities applicable.
- Ensure that “follow” claims are monitored daily via the market bureaux claims messages.
- Monitor and process claims on ECF daily.
- Handle administration tasks.
- Provide support for the Claims team as required.
- Liaise and develop good relationships with company Underwriters maintaining a flow of information.
- Build strong relationships with Management, Underwriters, and Operations team internally.
- Build a strong rapport with external experts as applicable to each case and within terms of engagement.
- Participate in seminars, gatherings, and events when appropriate.
- Promote the company in the market and partake in marketing efforts.
Candidate Requirements
- Marine Hull claims experience working with either an Insurer or Broker.
- ECF Processing experience.
- Good internal and external communication skills – verbal and written.
- Articulate and confident.
