Overview

The Opportunity: My client, a respected Lloyd’s broker, is seeking a Marine Broker Technician to join their London office. This role is well-suited to someone with prior insurance market experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a specialist marine and commercial environment. You’ll be part of a supportive team, focusing on processing and documentation rather than direct production.

Responsibilities

  • Support brokers and senior technicians with day-to-day processing tasks.
  • Prepare and check documentation including slips, endorsements, and evidence of cover.
  • Process premium and claims entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with market standards.
  • Assist with IMR uploads, LPANs, and other core technical processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure documentation and payment flows are handled efficiently.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous insurance market experience (e.g. within a broker, carrier, or coverholder).
  • Familiarity with London Market processes and systems (IMR / LPANs).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
  • Keen to build a longer-term career within the London Market in a technical/processing role.
