Overview
The Opportunity: My client, a respected Lloyd’s broker, is seeking a Marine Broker Technician to join their London office. This role is well-suited to someone with prior insurance market experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a specialist marine and commercial environment. You’ll be part of a supportive team, focusing on processing and documentation rather than direct production.
Responsibilities
- Support brokers and senior technicians with day-to-day processing tasks.
- Prepare and check documentation including slips, endorsements, and evidence of cover.
- Process premium and claims entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with market standards.
- Assist with IMR uploads, LPANs, and other core technical processes.
- Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure documentation and payment flows are handled efficiently.
What we’re looking for
- Previous insurance market experience (e.g. within a broker, carrier, or coverholder).
- Familiarity with London Market processes and systems (IMR / LPANs).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
