Our client is a highly regarded and fast-growing Managing General Agent (MGA) specialising in Real Estate risks across the UK and international markets. Known for their entrepreneurial culture, collaborative environment, and commitment to excellence, they are looking for an ambitious Underwriting Assistant to join their expanding Real Estate team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with underwriting support experience to develop their technical knowledge, gain exposure to complex property risks, and progress within a forward-thinking MGA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and technical support to underwriters across new business, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Assist with data entry, policy documentation, and accurate record maintenance in internal systems.
  • Liaise with brokers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate exchange of information.
  • Prepare and manage bordereaux, MI reports, and other underwriting data as required.
  • Support underwriters in pricing, risk analysis, and quotation preparation.
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal procedures, service standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support project initiatives within the team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in an underwriting support or administrative role, ideally within Property or Real Estate classes.
  • Strong understanding of the London Market or MGA environment (advantageous).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proactive, motivated, and eager to develop within a growing, collaborative team.
