Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Oil & Gas Broker to join their established Energy division in London. This is a senior-level producing and placing role, with responsibility for developing and servicing a portfolio of Oil & Gas business across Asia and the Middle East. The position requires a highly credible market-facing broker with strong technical expertise, established client relationships, and the ability to originate and place complex Oil & Gas risks into the London and international insurance markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, develop, and manage a portfolio of Oil & Gas insurance business across Asia and the Middle East.
- Place complex upstream, midstream and/or downstream risks into the London and international markets.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations with insurers and underwriters to deliver optimal risk transfer solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on programme structure, coverage and market strategy.
- Work closely with internal teams across broking, analytics, claims and operations.
- Support the strategic growth of the Oil & Gas portfolio within the Energy division.
- Attend client meetings, market meetings and industry events, including international travel.
- Ensure all placements meet regulatory, contractual and internal compliance standards.
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience as an Oil & Gas Broker in a producing and placing role.
- Proven track record of originating and placing Oil & Gas business.
- Strong experience working with Asian and/or Middle Eastern clients.
- Established relationships within the London Market and international markets.
- High level of technical knowledge across Oil & Gas risks and programmes.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate independently at a senior level while contributing to a broader team.
