This opportunity would suit an individual with a strong Lloyd’s market background who is looking to join a respected independent brokerage environment, working across Non-Marine and Property Treaty Excess of Loss business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and play a key role in supporting both new and existing business activities within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and manage new business and renewal enquiries.
- Present risks and submissions to Lloyd’s and company market underwriters.
- Process endorsements, policy amendments, and related documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with underwriters, agents, and clients.
- Support senior brokers and directors across day-to-day broking activities.
- Research market appetite, products, and placement options to secure the most suitable coverage and terms for clients.
- Assist in the placement of complex reinsurance risks and negotiate terms where required.
- Provide technical support and guidance relating to risk and coverage queries.
- Prepare and process market documentation including slips, endorsements, and line slip declarations.
- Assist with binding authority administration where applicable.
- Support claims handling activities when required.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with FCA and internal compliance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and reporting documentation.
- Provide general administrative and operational support across the team.
- Assist with ad hoc duties as required.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Lloyd’s broking environment.
- Experience handling Non-Marine and/or Property Treaty business preferred.
- Good understanding of Lloyd’s market processes and documentation.
- Progress toward CII qualifications would be advantageous.
