Class Underwriter – Surety
I'm working on behalf of aspecialist MGAlooking to appoint a Class Underwriter to help build and develop its Surety portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surety underwriter to take ownership of a growing book, play a key role in shaping the portfolio, and contribute to the wider growth strategy of the business. It's an ideal move for someone who enjoys autonomy and wants to make a genuine impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and grow the Surety portfolio.
- Build and strengthen broker relationships across the market.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Underwrite profitable risks within delegated authority.
- Support the ongoing development and diversification of the portfolio.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' underwriting experience within Surety or a related class.
- Strong technical underwriting and risk assessment skills.
- Established broker relationships and strong market presence.
- Commercial mindset with a track record of profitable underwriting.
