A leading independent insurance broker is seeking a highly experienced Energy Broker to join their London-based Energy division. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to work within a respected and dynamic team, placing complex global risks and contributing to the continued growth of the Energy portfolio. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise and strong market relationships across either Upstream, Downstream or Renewable energy sectors, while maintaining a client-focused, collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of Energy clients, ensuring exceptional service and retention.
- Structure, negotiate, and place complex Energy risks within the London and international markets.
- Leverage market relationships to secure optimal coverage and pricing for clients.
- Support new business initiatives through networking and client development.
- Provide technical input on policy wording, placement strategy, and market trends.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across broking, analytics, and claims to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent the firm at market meetings and industry events.
About You
- Extensive experience within the Energy Insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of Upstream, Downstream, and/or Renewable energy risks.
- Established relationships with key underwriters and clients in the energy space.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable within a fast-paced environment.
