A highly regarded and rapidly expanding London Market broker seeks an experienced Contract Wording Specialist to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and deliver insurance and reinsurance contracts that accurately reflect negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all contract documentation is completed and issued within agreed timeframes.
  • Amend and update contractual documentation throughout the lifecycle of placements, ensuring consistency and accuracy at all stages.
  • Work closely with brokers, underwriters and other stakeholders to obtain the information required to produce comprehensive and accurate contract wordings.
  • Provide informed recommendations on contractual language and identify potential issues where appropriate.
  • Interpret contract language and ensure documentation reflects the intent of negotiations.
  • Proactively suggest wording improvements and coverage enhancements where suitable.
  • Identify and escalate potential coverage concerns and contractual risks.
  • Participate in discussions with clients, markets and colleagues in a professional and consultative manner.
  • Utilise strong drafting and communication skills to facilitate efficient contract negotiation and execution.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience drafting and reviewing insurance and/or facultative reinsurance contracts.
  • Strong understanding of Market Reform Contracts and London Market documentation standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving market environment.
